Wales fast facts
Kier in Wales
Kier has been operating in Wales for more than half a century so we understand the economic journey the region is on. We want to see Wales realise its ambition to lead the UK in the delivery of cutting edge innovation and entrepreneurship.
That is why we continue to use capability from across our business to help develop the skills Wales requires now and in the future. Our Welsh customers have come to trust us as part of their communities as we continue to deliver an integrated offer across the region combining national expertise with local skills.
Last year we joined forces with the BBC’s DIY SOS and local contractors to build a much-needed support centre for the Swansea-based charity The Roots Foundation for Wales, for children and young people in care or leaving care. We also took part in the Open Doors Week in 2018, opening up construction sites at S4C Media and Office Development at Carmarthen and SA1 University of Wales, Trinity St David. This provided members of the public the chance to go behind the scenes at ‘live’ construction sites and talk to individuals at the forefront of shaping our skylines to experience first-hand the wide variety of career choices in the built environment.
